The internet is drowning in AI-generated content right now. And it’s probably just the beginning… Man, they even talk about it in the news, so it must be real! (Kidding!!) They’re right though, AI is an outstanding tool for disinformation and confusing the masses who can’t tell the difference.
Articles, images, social media posts, "personal" stories. Most of it is completely hollow. AI slop on Facebook. It's nuts and out of control. 9 reels out of 10 I see on Facebook are fake AI shit. Wow!
But wait a minute. I think there's an upside nobody talks about, here: it's making authenticity more valuable than ever.
When everything can be faked with zero effort, the things that clearly can't be faked start to stand out. Real experiences, real voices, real communities. That's part of why it’s important to me, that what I share online stays as real as possible. It matters more now, than ever.
Sure, I use AI here and there. Brainstorming, organizing ideas, structuring things. But never to copy and paste as my own stuff. That would be cheap. AI helps me bring my vision to life. It doesn't create for me. It doesn't write for me. I'm the creator, I'm the writer. AI, like my keyboard, my notepad or my writing app, is a tool.
