From Twitch Studio to OBS

Twitch decided to discontinue its streaming app, Twitch Studio. Sounds like I'm in the 4% of people who used it!

Well, it forced me to upgrade to OBS and stream like the big boys. It's certainly not a bad thing... I'm now satisfied with my current OBS setup. It's a nice improvement compared to Twitch Studio.

I must have used Twitch Studio for about 6 to 7 months. I think it was a good starting point for my streaming adventures. It's a very limited app, but it's incredibly simple. You're good to go in no time!

OBS, on the other hand, is way more powerful, but way more complicated. I still have a couple of things to set up, like the Twitch alerts and a proper chat overlay when I stream from a single-monitor system. I'll do it over time, no big deal.

See you on Twitch!

Titorian Scripts - Volume I

Click here to discover the Titorian Scripts - Volume I on Paranormalis.

The first time I heard of John Titor was in 2005. It was a true revelation, a unique story. A tale like no other… Little did I know, I had found a gift that would keep on giving.

A gift that would follow me for the next 20 years of my life.

John’s story is one of selfless sacrifice, courage, hope, friendship, and love that spans decades. A labor of love we can all relate to, that resonates within our very cores.

His C204 time displacement unit, his mission to retrieve the IBM 5100 computer, his messages on Time Travel Institute, the secret song… Every little fragment, every little piece of his tale is a treasure.

April 30, 2024 Goodbye for Now

So I have decided to stop posting on Mostly due to lack of time, I gave up. In spite of that, I have posted a total of 81 articles. 14 Articles and 67 Poems.

In one year, I made a total of $1.76. Is this more than my expectations? Yes, it is a lot more. I was expecting zero. But I got more than zero. So, success, yay! 🎉🍾 💰

But all in all, it's not worth it for me. My focus would rather be on Paranormalis and this blog. I have the feeling that with the same amount of time, I can add a lot more value to Paranormalis by being a part of the discussion and implementation of new features. The same is true with this blog and other projects I am working on. They add more value and are more rewarding than just posting to Medium.

Don't get me wrong. Medium is a great platform for great content. It's a great product.

But considering how I'm getting very few views on Medium and very few views on my blog... Well, I'd rather spend time on my blog.

Maybe I'll get back to it someday. To be continued...

See ya!

Grey Matter 1.2

Here's version 1.2 of the Grey Matter theme! Grey Matter is a clean and modern theme for FlatPress that's fully responsive and looks great on any device. It's a recreation of the Jekyll blog engine's default theme, for FlatPress.

What's New in v1.2:

  • Made the theme fully compatible with FlatPress 1.3. (If you're using FlatPress 1.2 or older, use Grey Matter v1.1)
  • Removed social media share icons in the entry footer.
  • Fixed a bug that crashed a couple of pages on FP 1.3. (Admin CP, Contact Us, etc)
  • Tweaked a couple of colors in the admin CP.
  • Updated preview images and readme.

Like FlatRead, this theme hasn't been updated in nearly a decade but still holds up remarkably well. I'm happy to see it continue to be a favorite among FlatPress users.

If you run into any issues, feel free to reach out on the Official FlatPress Forum.

See ya!

FlatRead 1.1

I'm just done updating FlatRead to v1.1, making it fully compatible with FlatPress 1.3.

FlatRead is a FlatPress theme that's very simplistic and minimalist. It is also 100% responsive, as it will adapt to your visitor's display size and will be rendered properly on any kind of device.

Here's what changed:

  • Made the theme fully compatible with FlatPress 1.3. (If you're using FlatPress 1.2 or older, use FlatRead v1.0.1)
  • Removed social media share icons in the entry footer.
  • Fixed a bug that crashed the "Contact Us" page on FP 1.3.
  • Updated preview images and readme.

Even though it's been almost a decade since it was last updated, this style still feels current and relevant. I'm glad it's still around and being used by the FlatPress community. Hopefully, this new update will last another 10 years, who knows! 😉

If you encounter an issue with this theme, let us know on the Official FlatPress Forum
