2 years ago, I wrote a blog post about writing. Or rather, how not to write. How, when writing, I’d do anything else than the actual writing.

Then from OBS to StreamLabs
Oh well, I didn't stay long on OBS. Not that I don't like it. It just doesn't feel as streamlined and intuitive as Twitch Studio, or StreamLabs, which I eventually switched to.
OBS works great, for sure. But it has so little automation, most things Twitch Studio does right off the bat, you have to do manually in OBS. That's mostly what motivated me to look elsewhere.

From Twitch Studio to OBS
Well, it forced me to upgrade to OBS and stream like the big boys. It's certainly not a bad thing... I'm now satisfied with my current OBS setup. It's a nice improvement compared to Twitch Studio.
I must have used Twitch Studio for about 6 to 7 months. I think it was a good starting point for my streaming adventures. It's a very limited app, but it's incredibly simple. You're good to go in no time!
OBS, on the other hand, is way more powerful, but way more complicated. I still have a couple of things to set up, like the Twitch alerts and a proper chat overlay when I stream from a single-monitor system. I'll do it over time, no big deal.
See you on Twitch!May 14, 2024

Medium.com: Goodbye for Now
So I have decided to stop posting on Medium.com. Mostly due to lack of time, I gave up. In spite of that, I have posted a total of 81 articles. 14 Articles and 67 Poems.
In one year, I made a total of $1.76. Is this more than my expectations? Yes, it is a lot more. I was expecting zero. But I got more than zero. So, success, yay! 🎉🍾 💰
But all in all, it's not worth it for me. My focus would rather be on Paranormalis and this blog. I have the feeling that with the same amount of time, I can add a lot more value to Paranormalis by being a part of the discussion and implementation of new features. The same is true with this blog and other projects I am working on. They add more value and are more rewarding than just posting to Medium.
Don't get me wrong. Medium is a great platform for great content. It's a great product.
But considering how I'm getting very few views on Medium and very few views on my blog... Well, I'd rather spend time on my blog.
Maybe I'll get back to it someday. To be continued...
See ya!

Grey Matter 1.2
Here's version 1.2 of the Grey Matter theme! Grey Matter is a clean and modern theme for FlatPress that's fully responsive and looks great on any device. It's a recreation of the Jekyll blog engine's default theme, for FlatPress.
What's New in v1.2:
- Made the theme fully compatible with FlatPress 1.3. (If you're using FlatPress 1.2 or older, use Grey Matter v1.1)
- Removed social media share icons in the entry footer.
- Fixed a bug that crashed a couple of pages on FP 1.3. (Admin CP, Contact Us, etc)
- Tweaked a couple of colors in the admin CP.
- Updated preview images and readme.
Like FlatRead, this theme hasn't been updated in nearly a decade but still holds up remarkably well. I'm happy to see it continue to be a favorite among FlatPress users.
If you run into any issues, feel free to reach out on the Official FlatPress Forum.
See ya!
