Here Is Why Focus Is The Key To Successful Niche Blogging

Today, we’re going to dissect and understand a key factor that can make you either succeed or fail at niche blogging. Obviously, there’s a ton of factors that matter, but this one is a big deal. It shapes the very way you’ll write each and every one of your articles.

Let’s get straight to it!

Focus, Focus, and Focus

Focus is what will make you differentiate yourself from all the other bloggers in your niche and give you an edge to create the compelling content your visitors are craving for.

Let me explain. When writing a blog post, it’s important that you focus on exploring only a very small and specific subject within your niche, but in extreme depth. Go crazy deep. Digging deep into a specific subject like that will allow you to come up with information, points of view and resources you’d never get to if you were writing an article covering a larger, less specific subject.

Leave no stone unturned. Your visitors are asking themselves very specific questions. The answers they seek have to be just as specific. Going in-depth and saying everything there is to say on a particular subject will allow you to give your audience the answers and information they need.

On the opposite, no matter what you are talking about, if you attempt to cover too much ground at once, you’ll get lost and won’t be able to provide anything that has much impact. That’s true for each single one of your blog posts.

“An inch wide and a mile deep“

I’ll give you an example. Let’s say you have a blog about computers in general. It would be fairly easy to think of creating an article explaining what are the 10 best laptops in 2016 and stick to it. That’s a pretty large topic, right? And yes, there are literally tons of such articles everywhere on the Internet…

Instead, how about an article explaining in detail what are the 10 best affordable laptops for college students in 2016? Or the 10 best laptops for rough outdoor use in 2016? Or the 10 best laptops for 3d modeling in 2016? People searching for laptop reviews on Google are looking for an in-depth analysis of the subject that is relevant to their needs and you want them to find what they’re looking for on your blog. Tell your visitors what’s the best laptop for their specific use case and explain to them why with as much detail as possible.

You can take that example and apply it to pretty much every niche you can think of. It will always work.

From now on, keep that in mind when planning a new blog article. Are you looking deep enough within your niche?

Happy niche blogging!
